Meet
Carissa
Nicknames: Cars, Rissa
Why I play volleyball: I play volleyball because I am
passionate about the game and have fun playing it. I love
the intensity, competitiveness, and challenge of the game.
Volleyball has taught me to have integrity, sportsmanship,
discipline, and to be mentally tough.
My five best volleyball attributes: Competitiveness,
determination, passion, dedication, and coachability
When I leave college, I want to: be successful at whatever I
do, and eventually have a family
My sports hero's are: Michael Jordan
I collect: butterflies
In my off-time, I'm most likely to be found: hanging out
with my friends.
Something people would be surprised to know about me: That I
can eat a lot
I'm most thankful for: my family, my friends, and the
opportunity I was given to play for Karolyn Kirby
Best book I have ever read: Dark Secrets, Kissed By an
Angel, and Smack
Favorite food: Japanese Food
Least favorite food: Pizza and doughnuts
My favorite movies: Coach Carter, Freedom Writers, and
Anchorman
My favorite TV show: Gossip Girl and Family Guy
My favorite music: Everything but Country
My parents were right when they told me: You will have no
regrets if you always give it your all
My favorite quotes: "Pressure makes diamonds… it's time to
shine!"
"Obstacles don't have to stop you. If you run into a wall,
don't turn around and give up. Figure out how to climb it,
go through it, or work around it." -Michael Jordan
